First Production Order for Chemical Decontamination Units

Following a series of successful acceptance tests and subsequent adoption as part of standard ground equipment for a military aircraft, Coda Octopus Martech (Martech) has received its first production order for Chemical Decontamination Units (CDUs).

This production order for rugged CDUs is for a well-respected NATO air force and is worth in excess of $850,000.

This product line springs from work originally done in conjunction with some of the UK government’s leading experts in chemical and biological protection. The Martech rugged CDU uses a proven, safe, clean and effective method of removing chemical agents from sensitive equipment.

Designed specifically to allow high value, sensitive equipment such as pilot’s helmets, to be thoroughly decontaminated, the Martech CDU has applications in a wide range of military operations to sanitise many types of technological and personal equipment where contamination by chemical agents may have taken place.

Using a clean and delicate process, the CDU is intended for use in theatre and in hostile environments. The CDU is very simple to operate, requiring no additional facilities or resources and has been designed and tested to cope with the extreme environmental conditions that sometimes exist in military operations.

Blair Cunningham, our President of Technology said “this is a milestone order for Coda Octopus Martech and the Group. We at Coda Octopus look forward to further orders to follow this initial production order, and are very keen to pursue other military and civil applications for this exciting technology, both in the UK and Europe, and elsewhere. This production order coincides with Coda Octopus Martech’s recent move into more spacious new and modern facilities” For more information please see www.martechsystems.co.uk.
